Mrs. Tira Setya

A letter from Mrs. Tira Setya (Mother of Bintang - Ex SPB K2 student who moved to Cambridge School in Doha Qatar).

Dear Ms Regina, Ms Eva, and My Friends.

Bintang is doing fine here. Sorry we just now reply to you. Bintang like his new school, even at his first day, he told me that he likes his new school. The funny thing, when he came to the classroom at first time, all his new friend greets him. It supposed the teacher take him, but Bintang just get in the classroom instead. Normally, new student will feel shy to come to the classroom but not him.

In Cambridge, the students come from many countries such Phillipines, America, Britain, Pakistan, India, and Qatar for sure. Bintang's class has 25 students and 3 of them are from Indonesia. Praise God, Bintang has no difficulty adapting with their friends, even now he has best friends from Pakistan, Britain and Indonesia too.

To be honest when registering Bintang to new school, It cross my mind if he can not pass the placement test, because it is now in 2nd term and he probably can not catch up with the lesson. Moreover, all the instruction language is in English. Well the fact, Bintang can do the test.

Oh ya, Here the primary starts at age 5, so now Bintang in 1st grade.Maybe that is the reason if the overseas student move to Indonesia, they have to down grade.
One thing in the placement test, Bintang was asked to write and spell letter from A to Z, simple addition, which Bintang can do it.
Lesson taught in Pelita Bangsa really help Bintang to pass the test and follow the lessons in Cambridge.
Here, every week there is always test for spelling and other subjects, starts from 2 letters, 3 letters and now 5 letters and in every test Bintang always got full score, all answered right!

Ms Eva is fantastic and able to make significant progress for Bintang. Thanks to all teachers who shared their knowledge to Bintang.
Beside English, Bintang also learned Arabic language, Islamic studies, Science, Sosial studies, ICT, Math and PE.

Happy Birthday Jason, you must have a nice party there. Unfortunately, Bintang could not attend it.
Bintang really wants to see his old friends when he was told about Jason's Birthday.
Luckily, Ms Eva send the picture of his friends for him to see, even that picture is now his computer as display.

Now Bintang is at school. He start from home at 6:20 by school bus. He gets home at 1:30PM. Quite long?
Oh ya, Here the school's holiday is on Friday and Saturday. It's different with Indonesia, which their school holiday is on Saturday and Sunday.
Here's the news from Bintang. We talk again later. Send regards to everyone.

Thank you very much,
Bintang & Bunda (Mom)
